McLaren 750S Le Mans Edition

McLaren 750S Le Mans Edition recalls the F1 GTR

McLaren is marking the 30th anniversary of its debut victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the McLaren 750S Le Mans, a limited-run special edition of the 750S, drawing inspiration from the legendary F1 GTR #59, which clinched overall victory in 1995. Text: Luca W. © Images: McLaren Automotive ©

Produced in just 50 examples worldwide, this commemorative version introduces both visual and aerodynamic upgrades, with several design cues echoing the iconic endurance racer. It also coincides with McLaren’s renewed commitment to endurance racing, ahead of its return to the top class at Le Mans in 2027.

An extra aerodynamic package

At the heart of the special edition is a new High Downforce Kit (HDK) developed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The package includes a larger carbon fibre front splitter, a raised active rear spoiler with integrated endplates, and a body-coloured under-wing panel with gloss black louvres. Together, these components increase overall downforce by approximately 10% compared to the standard 750S, enhancing track performance.

Aesthetically, the 750S Le Mans features a choice of Le Mans Grey or McLaren Orange paintwork, the former directly referencing the F1 GTR #59. Additional details include a roof scoop in gloss black carbon fibre, 5-spoke LM wheels with Le Mans branding, F1 gold brake calipers, and carbon front fenders with functional louvres.

A commemoration inside

The cabin is trimmed in black Alcantara and Jet Black leather, with contrasting elements available in either Dove Grey or McLaren Orange Alcantara, depending on the chosen configuration. Le Mans debossed headrests, bespoke Le Mans floor mats, and a dedication plaque on the centre console come as standard. Customers can also opt for an additional track record plaque, mounted in the front luggage area, which references McLaren’s 1995 Le Mans victory and Triple Crown achievements.

McLaren is also offering a suite of optional enhancements exclusive to the Le Mans edition, including gloss carbon fibre packs for various exterior and interior elements. These options allow buyers to further emphasise the car’s motorsport-derived character.

McLaren 750S Le Mans Edition price and units

Only 50 units of the McLaren 750S Le Mans will be produced globally, making it one of the most exclusive iterations of the 750S platform. While official pricing has yet to be confirmed, it is expected to carry a significant premium over the base 750S, which starts at around $330,000 USD (£252,650 – €300,000 – CHF280,000). Given the limited production, it should be sold out in a matter of hours.

This special edition not only celebrates a milestone in McLaren’s racing legacy but also sets the stage for the brand’s upcoming participation in the top-tier Hypercar class at Le Mans starting in 2027.
