Automotive Mike, a famous YouTube channel posting spy videos taking place at the Nürburgring, came across a strange Porsche prototype. This car is a 911 (992) Turbo fitted with a ducktail, reminding us the Porsche Sport Classic, co-introduced with the 997 Speedster. Text: Luca W. © Images, video: Porsche, Automotive Mike ©

Could it be a celebration version of the Carrera 2.7 RS, the next Porsche Sport Classic or just a new package? We don’t know yet. Nonetheless, keep in mind that Porsche already teased a future two-seater, lightweight version of the Turbo S. Looking a bit deeper into details, we can see a roll cage inside the car, pre-confirming Porsche announcement. Furthermore, we assume the recorded car was fitted with a manual gearbox, enhancing the authentic and sports legacy side of this version.

To summarize, should we prepare for a hardcore Turbo, an aero package, a special or legacy edition? We are sure this car will be kind of a legacy one, reminding the 2.7 RS because it is fitted with a roll cage and a duck tail. However, is a turbocharged engine suitable for such a glorious version?

Porsche Sport Classic

Possibly, the Sport Classic could return, increasing the 911 lineup. However, we can’t wait to find this out in the following weeks!
