Just months after debuting the Valiant, Aston Martin has introduced the 2024 Aston Martin Vanquish, a vehicle designed to redefine luxury and performance in the supercar segment. Text: Luca W. © Images: Aston Martin ©
The Twin-Turbo V12 engine
The 2024 Vanquish is powered by a 5.2-litre Twin-Turbo V12 engine that delivers an astounding 842 HP and 1,000 Nm of torque. This powerhouse engine sets a new benchmark for the Gaydon-based manufacturer.

The Vanquish boasts a top speed of 344 kph (214 mph), making it the fastest series-production Aston Martin ever. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.2 seconds, showcasing its incredible performance capabilities.

This power is managed by a new ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, paired with an electronic rear limited-slip differential (e-diff). The engine’s advanced design includes reinforced cylinder components, re-profiled camshafts, and new intake and exhaust ports. High-speed, reduced-inertia turbochargers (15% faster and 15% more compression) and higher flow-rate fuel injectors further enhance the engine’s performance.
Upgraded engine means upgraded chassis
The Vanquish’s carbon fibre body is built around a bonded aluminium chassis, providing maximum rigidity and dynamic control. An 80 mm extension of the wheelbase improves torsional rigidity and lateral stiffness, enhancing both stability and handling.
The vehicle is equipped with Bilstein DTX dampers, offering a broad range of force control across different driving modes, from the comfortable GT mode to the more aggressive Sport and Sport+ settings.

Complementing the advanced suspension system, the Vanquish features larger anti-roll bars and optimized suspension bushings. Its larger engine and extended wheelbase comes with weight: 1,744 kg.
Athletic exterior, yet elegant
The 2024 Aston Martin Vanquish’s exterior design is a refreshing evolution, emphasizing athleticism over pure luxury. The car’s elongated bonnet, accentuated by the 80 mm longer wheelbase, gives it a powerful, rakish profile. The sculpted bonnet includes F1-inspired thermos louvres, while the rear is defined by a distinctive Kamm Tail, which reduces drag and boosts aerodynamic efficiency.

A noticeable feature is the glass roof, originally intended to have an adjustable tint. However, due to the technical challenges of meeting Aston Martin’s requirements for the roof’s dimensions and curvature, it remains a dark glass roof, though customers can opt for a carbon fibre alternative. The rear design is further enhanced by LED light blades, borrowed from the Valkyrie, and a full-width diffuser.
2024 Aston Martin Vanquish price and units
The 2024 Aston Martin Vanquish is set to be an ultra-luxury supercar, with production limited to fewer than 1,000 units annually, initially offered on an invitation-only basis. This exclusivity is reflected in its price tag, starting at $375,000 (EUR350,000 — £300,000 — CHF335,000).
