In a summer marked by its triumph at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ferrari continues to captivate enthusiasts with its latest unveiling: the Ferrari KC23. A remarkable one-off creation that embodies the spirit of exclusivity and track-focused performance. Far from being a mere concept or production car, it exudes the timeless elegance and refined craftsmanship that define the essence of Centro Stile and a very insightful customer. Real motorsport genes

The KC23 showcases its authentic motorsport heritage, drawing upon the genes of a true champion, the 488 GT3 Evo 2020. With an illustrious track record of 530 victories and 119 championship wins, these racing credentials form the very essence of this extraordinary creation, making it one of the most exclusive car ever crafted in Maranello.

Although not intended for competitive racing, the non-competitive track-focused nature is complemented by the impressive capabilities of its 3.9-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, delivering 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.

The masterpiece is what your eyes see

Regardless, the thoroughbred performances (don’t mind the “Purosangue” pun) are nothing compared to the organic bodywork of this unique creation. Its organic and dynamic bodywork, meticulously crafted with flowing lines and sculpted curves, showcases a harmonious blend of science and artistry. Designed by the talented team at Centro Stile, this exceptional car exudes a timeless appeal, as if every line and contour has been honed with meticulous care and refined taste.

While the rarest modern Prancing horse creation takes inspiration from the 488 GT3 Evo, it also adds its own distinctive touches. The iconic LaFerrari butterfly doors enhance the car’s striking presence, while the head and tail lights pay homage to the victorious endurance racer, the 499P, winner of the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The visual allure is further enhanced by the mesmerizing Gold Mercury paint, a bespoke four-layer aluminium finish created exclusively for this project. This unique colour adds another layer of appeal to the already captivating bodywork, ensuring that the car stands out as a true work of automotive art.

From angel to devil

This remarkable Prancing Horse would not be a true track-focused Ferrari without its array of active aerodynamic devices. The bespoke track car boasts motorized air intake vents and a removable rear wing, showcasing both aesthetic and performance-oriented features. Another notable highlight is the captivating carbon fibre Formula One-inspired diffuser.

With custom kinematics, the car’s visual demeanour undergoes a transformative shift, unveiling its prominent air intakes in front of the rear fenders, and dynamic active aerodynamics. These carefully engineered elements optimize airflow and enhance downforce, delivering a personalized and exhilarating driving experience on the track.

While specific technical details remain undisclosed, one can expect a full carbon fibre bodywork and a curb weight above 1,260 kg. As every suspension and chassis component has been sourced from the 488 GT3 Evo, the power-to-weight ratio should be around 2.1 kg/HP.

A gentle owner to please every car enthusiast

As you would expect, the price is not communicated, as it is a one-of-a-kind vehicle. But the Ferrari KC23 will make its debut at the prestigious 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, captivating automotive enthusiasts with its presence. Following this, it will be on display at the Museum in Maranello from August to October, allowing visitors to appreciate this unique creation. The owner’s generous decision to share this masterpiece with the world reflects its deep passion for the iconic Prancing Horse brand, and he/she deserves our gratitude.
